It has been announced, at last :
Wrath of Tarecgosa – When you deal damage, you have a chance to gain the Wrath of Tarecgosa, duplicating the harmful spell.
Expect a high proc chance to make it Legendary. I suspect this kind of working like the Ele shaman mastery, except for full damage.
In other exciting news, the full Tier12 has been discovered, and it looks %&”$ awesome. What do you think?
I feel like I haven’t really personalized much of my blog lately, and have just been reporting the balance druid news. I’m away for the weekend on a quick vacation, and had a few moments to sit down and talk about what I’ve been up to the last few weeks.
If you’ve been following my Tweets closely (or paid attention to the blog), you’ll notice that I returned to the Horde. The several months I spent as a Night Elf were .. different, but it just didn’t feel right. Seriously Casual is a great guild with great people, it just didn’t feel like my home.
I joined a guild called “Titan” on Blackhand in early February, and spent about a month there. There were some good people in Titan, however I did not particularly agree with their leadership style (or lack thereof). I don’t want to go too into detail, but it really felt like people logged in to raid, spent 4 hours raiding, and logged back out, with no real discussion, theorycrafting, or passion to understand the fights.
I’ve recently stumbled on my current guild, Out of Line, on Stormreaver. They are 9/12 heroic, and this week we’ve made great progress on Putricide. I expect him down this week. (5% wipe is our best attempt). So far I really love it here. The players for the majority are in their twenties and in college or careers, so while it’s a grueling schedule, they understand that we all have careers that may occasionally take priority. Everyone’s also on a first name basis, which is a new thing for me, but it’s nice, it seems like people are actually interested in getting to know each other. People are online all the time, on Ventrilo and in game, and there’s plenty of discussions and theorycrafting during our downtime, and a lot of discussion and collaboration during the attempts as well. So far it seems like I’ve found a comfortable home to settle into while we finish Icecrown and move into Cataclysm.
Just wanted to thank everyone for their participation. Since launching in early September ’09, we’ve had 501 non-spam comments submitted (and the spam blocker has blocked another 500+). As of right now, I’m at 48,600 page views since mid September. When I began posting I never thought I’d really have any readership let alone the levels I see today. Thanks for giving me inspiration to keep writing and keep playing!
There hasn’t been much to write about regarding changes to balance druids in 3.3, much to my chagrin, so I thought I’d offer up another update on what I’m doing in my raid life.
Raiding has actually been fairly relaxed, as we clear ToC/ToGC in one day, and that leaves me the rest of the week to get my hunter through 10man/25man ToC/ToGC (Sargeras actually has some decent pug runs, and thank god I have a 5K GS, that must mean I’m good!), or as I’ve been doing lately, enjoy real life. Sometimes I forget how much of RL I’m missing until I actually have a break from the raid scene to enjoy it. Mostly though, I’m just getting more and more annoyed that they seem to not want to address balance issues at all.
I wanted to take a brief minute to welcome all of the new readers to Sunfyre’s Nest. Due to a recent feature in The Daily Druid, as well as on MMO Champion, our readership has jumped dramatically over the last two days. (As I write this at 7:30 AM, we’ve had more reader then we had all day on Friday).
I wanted to give a brief synopsis of things I have planned over the next few weeks:
- ToC/TotGC raid videos from a moonkin POV. This may take a few weeks, as I’ve recently joined Seriously Casual and I don’t want to challenge my FPS/raid awareness during applicant status.
- Site theme re-design: While I’m happy with the overall theme, I’m working with excellent druid artist Andrige to craft a unique logo for Sunfyre’s Nest, and will be incorporating it in to break up the current “wall of text” feel, as well as lighten up the ‘dark’ atmosphere a bit.

Sorry for the lack of posts this weekend, I’ve been out of town. (I did get to hang out with a guildie, though as she lives 20 minutes from my parents house). I’m writing this on my iPhone WordPress app as I fly across the interstate trying to get home before raid time.
Speaking of iPhones, did you know the Nest is optimized for your iPhone, iPod touch, Android, or Blackberry? The website will autodetect a mobile browser and display a mobile friendly theme. No need for a separate URL!
Since September 21st we’ve had over 2500 page views and average 65-100 unique visitors a day. I’ve noticed that we have even had incoming links from guild forum pages. I can’t read the posts but I hope they’re good.
I’ve been playing around with some plugins such as IntenseDebate trying to decide what I like. Please give feedback. I’ve disabled intense debate for now as I couldn’t male it AutoApprove all comments from someone once I’ve already approved one.
