3.3.3: Squawk and Awe

by on Mar.23, 2010, under General

Squawk and Awe is a bit buggy in 3.3.3, but it does work.  The bar shows you’re on cooldown when you’re actually under Solar Eclipse.

3.3 Update: Squawk and Awe

by on Dec.13, 2009, under General

The latest version of Squawk and Awe seems to work properly, although I’m not sure if it’s due to them fixing the bug, or SAA being re-written.  I updated mine from Curse.

Breaking News: Squawk and Awe (and others) broken in 3.3

by on Dec.07, 2009, under General

Thanks to Lissanna’s post at Restokin, a bug has been noted in 3.3.  Essentially, Eclipse does not trigger the SPELL_AURA_APPLIED flag, so addons which track it do not work.  An addon called Class Timer / Class Timer Eclipse has the ability to track the Eclipse buff and it’s internal cooldown.  I suggest you download it from Curse and install it before 3.3 lands.

Squawk and Awe

by on Sep.21, 2009, under General

I’ve been asked by many people if I still use SquawkAndAwe with the changes to Eclipse, especially with WiseEclipse, and the answer is yes.  Even though you don’t need to track the cooldown as tightly, as you can’t accidentally proc the wrong one, I still use it to remind myself the status of Eclipse and when to swap to the other.

If you’re not familiar with SquawkAndAwe, it tracks your Eclipse (as well as other moonkin buffs/debuffs) via bars, and can visually show which Eclipse is proc’d, and which Eclipse is currently on cooldown.

SquawkAndAwe joins WiseEclipse as the two “must have” balance druid add ons.  You can find more info about WiseEclipse on my blog here.

You can download SquawkAndAwe from WoWInterface here.
