Moonkin Raiding: ToC BiS

There is a lot of loot out there in Trial of the Crusader, and I personally believe that there are many different ways to equip your character, however I put together a few sets of what I personally believe are “BiS”. The first two are based on NOT having heroic Anub’arak on farm. There’s been much debate whether 2pc T8/2pc T9 is better then 4pc T9.58, and if you look at the stats, they’re clearly quite similar. I do believe 2pc/2pc is a better combination until you have all 4 pieces of heroic T9. At that point, the sheer difference in gear and stats may cause it to provide higher DPS, especially considering that more fights are mobile, and the 4pc set bonus allows you to not be so dependent on keeping Eclipse up. Please provide feedback.
If you look at the differences between 2T8/2T9 and 4T9.45, you’ll see the spell power/crit/spirit differences are not very large. With very little change in stats, the 2pc T8 bonus seems to be a much better option then the 4pc T9. However, looking at the 4T9.58, you can see there’s a much larger difference in stats. At this point, the 4pc T9 bonus may become a better choice. Also, I did not include the tribute cloaks in the lower two sets, only the heroic tier set.

Excellent list, thanks for th stat comparison it’s very clear for folks to be able to choose their preferred direction on what is available o them, i kno i’ll be referring to this more than once,

i was just comparing it to my BiS list and i couldnt figure out the following:
258 w/T9.58: why socket Malfurion’s Mantle of Triumph (5sp bonus) potent but not Lurid Manifestation?
anyways kinda sucks to be over hit capped even if you don’t have to. at least faction doesn’t matter to moonkins in BiS lists!

Why do you use those bracers and not the wizard ones for these sets?

The DPS equivalent of the 258 bracers is higher, when you factor in the spirit->spell power, intellect, and additional haste.

I must be a noob, I thought spirit was never greater than spell power, intellect, or haste. Am I missing something?

You misunderstood me, I was referring to the spellpower granted by the spirit due to Improved Moonkin Form. I do not believe the cloth bracers have any spirit, whereas the leather ones do. While the spirit doesn’t show up as raw spell power in tauren/night elf form, it shows up while shapeshifted.
