Travel Form Updated : Stag Form

Travel Form has been updated to a very cool looking stag. MMO-Champion has a video which I’ve embedded below:
Although it’s cool and all, is anyone else miffed that Travel Form is YET ANOTHER form that was updated before Moonkin?

Im still hopeing the current astral form on the beta is a placeholder.

One eye smiles, one cries. I love this new travel form, but sad we still have to wait for moonkin. But I’m happy they have more experience now and moonkin hopfully will be the best work of all the forms. It should be done with their latest modeling technology and latest experience.

In all fairness, travel form has been using a placeholder graphic since before vanilla went live. The fact that it was using a normal feline model was a left over remnant when all druid forms were generally indistinguishable from regular mob models (I still really miss the old beta cat form model D: ). Dire bear form was also using a placeholder graphic for forever, but it seems Blizzard pretty much just gave up on actually ever making a distinction between the two bear forms.
Granted, it’d be wonderful to get moonkin form actually updated, since it’s two expansions late now, but I’m not holding my breath. The internal pessimist says that it’ll probably take another two xpacks before we see an update, and flight form will probably get an update, and some additional customization will be added to cat and bear forms in the process as well.

F*.. Goddam*… setember 25th almost there.. 5.0 PTR and still nothing from the so long promissed final version of Moonkins. Blizz is being lazy with its promisses

They never said Moonkin would be ready before 5.0, but the fact they put priority on models like Travel form bothers me.
