Moonkin DPS Rotation Tutorial Video

I’ve created a moonkin DPS rotation tutorial video. This is my first attempt at using my MacBook to capture the actual WoW video, and my first time editing together a video in this fashion. Enjoy!

Latest on Mon, 08:03 pm: When you hit 0 energy, in 5.1, you'd go to 20 energy. + 40 energy from one cast to 60 energy, + 40 energy from cast #2, that's 100 energy. Now you go from 0 energy to 40 energy. Cast #1 brings you to 80. Cast #2 is still required, and it brings you to 100 energy (which is really 120 but you get nothing for that extra energy). The amount of casts did not change. 2.
: Wait, what you just said doesn't make sense. What makes us go straight to 20 energy? With SotF it takes 2 casts to reach lunar. 2 casts to reach solar. Without SotF it takes 3, correct me if i'm wrong.
: Sorry, I don't understand where your getting the 20 from, 100 80 60 40 20 0 40 80 100 or sotf 100 80 60 40 20 0 (40 sf + 40 sotf) 80 120 ??

Nice and Simple, should also note that you are not
refreshing dots when you are about to proc next eclipse, my
question is, how far do you think is too far away to stop
refreshing dots and wait it out. i.e 50 energy should refresh, or
80 do not bother refreshing.

Honestly I don’t ever bother refreshing insect swarm, because of it’s high mana cost to little to no gain on your DPS. I’ll refresh Moonfire/Sunfire only when I’m going to spam it during movement (which also reduces it’s cost considerably).

I would like to know what add on you use for the DOT ticks in the center. Exactly what I’ve been wanting and not been searching lol

Those are simply PowerAuras. I use Relevart’s Power Aura scheme, which you can find here.
I’ve only made one change, and that’s to change the innervate threshold from 80% to 45%, as I use Dreamstate.

What about in a dungeon with groups where you can’t use starfire? And do you roll fairy fire out at all?

I don’t bother with Faerie fire. And you can use Starfall in a dungeon if you glyph focus and you’re careful.

I only refresh dots on eclipse, unless I have to move in which case I spam MF/SF until I stop moving.
I set up PA, thank you for the link! Trully helps a ton!!! I had to disable the Forte buff travker because it would cover most of the screen lol

When hitting a Lunar eclipse do you cast an extra wrath to compensate for Lunar’s slow proc?

I haven’t had a problem with slow procs since beta. I generally will cast until the buff though, and not neccessarily when I think the proc will occur.

Great vid! I seem to always forget my trinkets.
My question is this…your moonkin seems to have different coloring…did I miss something?

I have a few questions about your UI:
How did you make the background of the chat black? (I made the chat color option black via Lui options, but it isn’t like yours; The way you could make it black via right click on the chat options and changing the background doesn’t work either, it has no effect.
Also, The cooldown bar above your action bars, what addon is that?

I’d be clipping them really bad.
