Soothe :: More useful then you think!

I noticed something that perhaps hadn’t been advertised before, or at least, I hadn’t noticed it before.
From Ghostcrawler’s blog: “Players generally don’t hit hard enough to trigger the full effect of Vengeance, unless they are all ganging up on one tank, at which point someone in the group should have the ability to dispel it (Vengeance is treated as an Enrage effect for dispel purposes).” (emphasis mine)
This may be a handy tool in PVP, especially rated battlegrounds, as we’re one of two classes who can remove vengeance from a tank.
Update: It appears vengeance is dispelled and will not return for about 20 seconds. This will be very handy in rated battlegrounds.

Wouldn’t it suffer the same issue that Remove Corruption has with respect to Rogue poisons? That is, it gets applied/refreshed a helluva lot faster than it can be removed.

Vengeance builds overtime, so dispelling it would cause it to reset.

Ah awesome. For some reason I was thinking it was stack based.

I stumbled across this a while ago. I run a power auras set up to show dispelable enrages on targets, and to my surprise it started showing up in bgs when I targeted warriors… needless to say I think moonkins now annoy the hell out of warriors if we constantly dispel them.

Prot warriors in PvP don’t do damage anyway. They just annoy.
The only use for this (in my opinion) is ferals Beserk.

They could do plenty of damage if they’re soaking a ton of damage flag running or something, which makes this handy.

Also, warriors can’t use enraged regeneration if they don’t have an enrage effect active… More useful than you might think.
