Our friends at MMO-Champion have been able to datamine the season 9 armors, however they’re probably not completely finished. What do you think? Click to enlarge and see all models.
So with the fix from Sunfire on 4.3 PTR, I threw up 5 million damage to a training dummy just to see how our damage breaks down.
Primary nukes (Wrath, Starfire): 50%
DoTs (Sunfire, Insect Swarm, Moonfire): 30%
Together, Moonfire & Sunfire did an impressive 18% damage, where insect swarm was roughly 12%.
Again, we will want to always cast insect swarm before sunfire/moonfire, as they do more damage per tick, and we want Sunfire/Moonfire to receive the extra haste from Nature’s Grace. (At my haste level [40%], insect swarm will tick 13 times and moonfire/sunfire tick 15 times, per cast.)
Although the PTR servers are rather buggy at the moment, I was able to get on and try out our rotation. I’m happy to report that Sunfire is FINALLY fixed!
Looking over recount numbers, it looks like Sunfire does do more damage per tick then Insect Swarm, so you’ll want to use insect swarm before sunfire/moonfire on either Eclipse, to grant the haste to Sunfire/Moonfire.
So, as I was questing on my level 71 paladin today and I realized that the hunter tier 11 already exists in game:
A new beta build is being released, and the only balance change is to give a 1.5 second cast time to Soothe. It looks like hunters will not have this limitation, so hopefully we can return tranq duty to the focus-starving, QQing, murloc outfit wearing hunters.
Oh, and thanks to Balourd (I didn’t bother to look at the resto changes):
Rebirth cooldown has been reverted to 10 minutes.
So another patch is released, and guess what. Sunfire and Shooting Stars still are not fixed.
The servers are going down for maintenance, and 4.0.1a will be released. Hopefully Sunfire will be fixed?
During the Open Q&A panel today, the developers revealed they’ve settled on a staff for the next legendary. Looks like moonkin may actually get their day?!
UPDATE: RaidWarning reports that the staff idea is a running joke among developers, although it would make sense.
UPDATE: The legendary will also be available for 10 and 25man.
BlizzCon is upon us. If you couldn’t make it, you can join me watching the virtual stream. If anything breaking is announced, I’ll be sure to report it!
It seems the new Moonkin companion pet will be a charitable pet like the Pandaren Monk.
I had a tip from a reader tonight that the mobile version of the page hasn’t been working recently. I was able to figure out why and resolve it.
And, for all of you new readers who didn’t know, Sunfyre’s Nest has a special mobile theme iPod Touch, iPhone, Android phone, Blackberry phone, and the native blog looks brilliant on the iPad!
