Here are the new balance changes that were introduced with the latest beta build:
- Lunar Shower now increases the direct damage done by Moonfire by 15/30/45%. (Old – Increased all damage dealt by Moonfire)
- Balance of Power no longer increases your chance to hit with spells, increases your nature and arcane spell damage by 1/2% instead.
- Nature’s Grace revamped – Increases your spell haste by 1/2/3%.
Apparently blizzard is really trying to steer us away from crit and wanting us to rely much heavier on haste. I’m glad the Nature’s Grace mechanic is gone, but with the Nature’s Grace mechanic being gone, there really isn’t a problem with the 1.5second wrath. That being said, I’m confused as to why we have both changes.
The Balance of Power change is welcomed, because I have a feeling hit really won’t be an issue with all the damn spirit we’re seeing in the game.
I was still underwhelmed with the previous changes to moonfire for damage on the run, so why they’re changing it to just DIRECT damage is beyond me.
I still don’t think that Ghostcrawler or any other dev really has a firm grasp as to what to do with balance druids in Cataclysm.
