Gripe of the Week #13: Server Maintenance

GoTW #13: Guild chat was not working on Blackhand all last night after server maintenance, and even through this morning after a server reset, quest NPCs were not interacting, preventing people from doing holiday events, normal questing, or raid weeklies. How does Blizzard break so many things when they don’t even do a content patch?

Latest on Thu, 09:38 pm: They just updated the 4pc T13 again. 10% Bonus damage and 5 seconds reduced CD.
: Btw, it's not worth it to acctually refresh your dot when it proc...just play as if it's a normal weap... The 2,5 sec you loose refreshing your dot could have been used to get more eclipse utpime and thus benefiting from Nature's grace, which is more important.
: It pretty much averages out to 300 haste all the time, which isnt bad, but you're right it's hard to predict when it'll proc and casting dots accordingly. I feel the extra haste to the raid is worth it though.

My bet is that the timing of the battle.net advertisement on the SC2 forums coming out as the same time as WOW server problems isn’t a coincidence. I’m pretty sure they did something related to battle.net stuff that didn’t require a wow-server patch, but still messed up the servers.

If we can cross server whisper through it, I’ll take the day of inconvenience. The screenshot showed people on other WoW servers showing up in your friends list. That’d be pretty neat. (Cross faction would be nice too). I can see preventing cross-faction on the same server, but I see no reason to prevent cross-faction across multiple servers.
