Blizzard launches Mobile Authenticator for Android
by Sunfyre on Feb.09, 2010, under General
Released today to the Android Market is the mobile authenticator. There was some questioning whether it was genuine or not as it hasn’t been announced officially by Blizzard, but I did install it, it did not ask for any personal data, and it set up properly through the official battle.net site, and works when I log in. Android users, claim your [Core Hound Pup]!
To install, simply search for “Blizzard” in the Android Market.

Unless someone managed to hack Blizzard’s security algorithm, there’s no way anyone else could have written it, considering you enter absolutely no data into the app. Everything is done through the official battle.net website. Even if someone knew the code, they wouldn’t know your account, as you never enter that data.

That’s great, thanks for posting this. Now I can stop looking for my keys, which has my authenticator, every time I want to log in.
