Musings on a long road trip..

So I was driving across a few states today, heading home for the long Thanksgiving holiday, and I begun thinking about [spell]focus magic[/spell], and how broken it was (and the fact that an arcane mage will in most cases receive both sides of the buff in benefit, as long as there’s >1 mage in a raid), and I was thinking of how it could apply to druids.  I think a neat ability would be some sort of boost / synergy based on the other druids in the raid.  A moonkin could draw on raw energies from a feral druid, and be granted extra damage, for example, as well as draw on the spiritual powers from a resto druid, which would grant additional haste.  Perhaps a moonkin could also draw from another moonkin, granting it something like critical strike.

Anyways, I’m not sure exactly what bonuses could be granted, these are just quick ideas, but I do like the general idea of balance druids being able to draw synergy from their fellow druid forms to gain some sort of benefit.  This is something that could perhaps be a base ability/low in the resto tree, and allow for all druids to be able to gain some sort of benefit from the other druids in their raid.  What do you think?

Now THIS is a great idea!
Blizz says they wont give us full dps because we are hybrid/support. Now this may lead to: You are support we take one of you.
Now by putting a moonkin to the top of dmgmeters if its not alone this would fix it: We are support, if alone, but we are full dps class if another moonkin joins us.
Of course this needs to be capped (woot 15 moonkins in 1 raid ^^ )
    wet dreams… ^^

Well, I wasn’t envisioning a stacking affect, just a druid-only aura that each spec of druid would bring to the other druids, that is beneficial to their own tree. And nothing earth shattering, nothing extremely OP, just a boost.

I mean christ, focus magic gives mages basically a static 6% crit boost.

I feel like this is a good idea thats a mysterious cousin of Master shapeshifter. You know. give an extra humph to your form. but the idea of it getting buffed cross-spec is kinda nice. Would convince leaders to bring druids more. Bad for Tokens, good for brezes and innervates, auras.
This would be criticized massively by other classes. Cause mages CHOOSE to buff each other, they could give the buff to anyone else. We wouldnt choose who we buff, it would be automatic.

Do mages REALLY choose to buff each other? Not really. It’s the only way they get 6% crit (3% from each side). Not “choosing” it would be extremely stupid. The only time a mage really has a choice is if they’re the only mage in the raid. It’s kind of like saying moonkin have a ‘choice’ in our rotation (Ghostcrawler’s eclipse arguement) because we robotically switch between Starfire and Eclipse depending on what eclipse we have.
